Oorja is looking for a hands-on Chief Operating Officer who combines strategic leadership with genuine operational depth. You will be a core member of the CXO team, shaping company strategy, leading institutional fundraising efforts, and preparing the organisation for Series A while owning the operational performance that makes that growth story credible. Working closely with the Field Operations Manager, who oversees day-to-day site management, you will focus on building the systems, structures, and partnerships needed to scale Oorja’s proven model into new geographies. You will be responsible for the company’s operational revenue (direct P&L responsibility), new business model variations, and ensuring the organisation has the people, processes, and operational discipline required to grow without compromising quality or mission alignment.
Oorja is looking for a data-driven, tech-savvy Product Analyst to own the digital backbone of our operations. Sitting at the intersection of technology, data and rural field operations, you will build and maintain the dashboards and data reporting systems leadership relies on for strategic decisions, drive the development and adoption of Zoho ERP across the organisation, and lead development of Zoho Creator apps and our farmer-facing app, Dhoop. You will also own IT and management of all of Oorja’s internal systems, manage and grow partnerships with technology providers and other partners, and use AI-assisted development tools (such as Base44 and Claude Code) to build in-house tools, including AI-enabled GIS mapping to track and improve key business metrics like CAC and CLV.
As a Business Development Officer, you will be based in Uttar Pradesh and travelling regularly among Oorja’s prospective rural sites and interacting with farmers on a daily basis. This is a 100% field role and candidates with an agricultural or rural background originating from UP or Bihar will be preferred. You will focus on finding new sites for expanding our solar-powered irrigation, and agronomy advisory services. Your responsibilities are to conduct surveys, mobilise farmers, collect membership fees, negotiate land lease agreements, and assist with other aspects of business development and project implementation.
